Notice of Annual General Meeting 2025

Notice is hereby given to Members that the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Society will take place on 25 October 2025 at:

Manchester Deaf Centre

Crawford House

Booth Street East

Manchester M13 9GH

Doors Open: 10 am

Business Meeting starts at 11 am

Light refreshments will be available at a specific point in the day.

This notice has been published on our website in accordance with Company Law, and should be sufficient notice for anyone who does not receive personal notice through postal or electronic means.

Please note that in compliance with Company Law, and our Articles of Association, Clause 9, a paid-up member may appoint another member to act on his or her behalf at a general meeting, including voting. A proxy form is available from the Company Secretary and must be returned not less than 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Trustee Information 2025

The current Board of Trustees are as follows:

Note: Richard Goulden resigned as a Trustee in March 2025; Geraldine O’Halloran stepped down at the same time for health reasons and Cathy Nassimi Green did not attend any trustee meetings throughout 2024 & 2025 and was therefore deselected as a trustee under Articles of Association clause 3.6.3.

The post of Treasurer is therefore currently vacant and nominations are invited for this post.

Lisa Birtles is due to stand down at this year’s AGM and offers herself for re-election.

Nomination forms are available from the Company Secretary for all Board of Trustee positions.
